Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, have allegedly broken an 'unwritten rule' as a result of a recently posted video, a royal commenter has claimed.
Following their decision to step away from royal duties in 2020 and relocating to the US, the Sussexes have been largely doing their own thing.
The same year, the royal couple set up their organisation, The Archewell Foundation, which has seen them donate millions of dollars to charitable causes.

To showcase some of their work and personal highlights, Harry and Meghan shared a video of a behind-the-scenes look at some of their engagements over the course of the year.
According to PEOPLE, the video, which was set to Coldplay's 'A Sky Full of Stars', showed a number of charitable causes that the couple attended, including their visit to Nigeria and Colombia.
It was also released alongside the charity's impact report, with Archewell's co-executive directors James Holt and Shauna Nep adding, as per PEOPLE: "This year, at The Archewell Foundation, we’ve witnessed the transformative power of human connection — of people reaching across divides to uplift one another. Our purpose is simple yet impactful: to show up, do good."

However, the video was reportedly uploaded on the same day that the Prince and Princess of Wales are hosting a visit for the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani - and royal commentator, Richard Fitzwilliams, has criticised the Sussexes for the decision.
He told the Express: "Harry and Meghan have never subscribed to the unwritten rule that, when in the Royal Family, you should not share the spotlight when it should be on other royals.
"However, it only makes sense that if a royal is involved with a big event, they should not face competition."

He continued: "Media coverage is obviously pivotal to whatever trips, charitable events and anniversaries members of the Royal Family are involved in. This simply reflects today's world."
He concluded: "This was surely not a day to release material which would compete for coverage in a world, where interest in royal matters is often obsessive.
"The Sussexes know perfectly well that there is intense media interest in everything they do.

"However, it is quite extraordinary that they chose yesterday to make news and release this video together with the Archewell Foundation's accounts."
He also claimed the video sent a 'message which is far from friendly'.
Tyla has contacted Harry and Meghan's reps for comment.
The criticism comes amid social media rumours that the marriage between Harry and Meghan is supposedly on the rocks.

However, Harry has since addressed the matter, as well as critiques that the two are undergoing a 'professional separation' and focusing on their own engagements.
NYT columnist and DealBook founder Andrew Ross Sorkin asked Harry: "There’s articles left and right about, you know, ‘Why are you making, doing independent events? Why aren’t you doing them together?’”
To which he replied: “Because you invited me, you should have known!” before bursting into a laugh.
Meghan herself also seemed to shut down the rumours in her most recent statement, too.
