Viewers of England's devastating defeat to Spain last night during the Euro 2024 final would have seen two very familiar faces sitting in the Royal box at Berlin's Olympiastadion, passionate cheering on the Three Lions.
Heirs to the British throne, Prince William and Prince George, were pictured alongside several big names enduring a rollercoaster of emotions during Sunday evening's nail-biting football game, which tragically saw the Spaniards steal the victory from the English at the 86th minute.

Despite their inability to disguise their heartache when the full time whistle blew, spectators couldn't help but notice how dapper the pair looked in the stands.
The future King and his 10-year-old son donned a pair of matching navy suits, which they paired with crisp white shirts and striped ties, with many onlookers commenting on how grown up the youngster looked side-by-side with his dad.
And whilst many children couldn't think of anything worse that being forced into an outfit identical to that being worn by their old man, for Prince George, his attire formed part of a very special Royal tradition.
It turns out that, since he was a baby, the second-in-line to the throne has mimicked the former fashions of his father, as has been the case with Royal men and their first borns for decades.

You might recall, back in 2015, a two-year-old George was papped arriving to his sister Princess Charlotte's christening ceremony, rocking an adorable white blouse, laced with red adornments, and a matching pair of fiery red shorts.
And whilst some at the time branded the outfit garish for such a toddler to wear, 30 years earlier, Prince William was photographed in an identical outfit whilst attending his little brother Prince Harry's christening.
Two years later, whilst disembarking a flight from Warsaw back in 2017, a four-year-old Prince George was photographed in a chequered shirt, ankle sock and high-waist short combination which had been worn by his father when he was a child, during his own return home from Aberdeen.

Since then, George has been recorded on countless occasions to be either mirroring the past attires of his father, now 42, or matching him perfectly.
From the cool blue open-neck shirt and navy linen blazer combination that the duo wore during a joint visit to Cardiff back in 2022, to the chequered shirt that George wore for the 10th birthday portrait released earlier this year matching the many that William has previously worn, the pair have kept up the sweet tradition.
