Princess Diana was just 36-years-old when she died in 1997

There's a forthcoming documentary surrounding the details of Princess Diana's death which promises to shed further light on the day that rocked the world.

Diana Spencer's death, which happened in Paris in 1997, devastated millions of people.

Diana, known as the 'people's princess' and the 'queen of hearts', was the mother to Prince Harry and Prince William.

She was just 36-years-old at the time of her death, and had been embroiled in a highly publicised divorce from Prince Charles - who is now the King.

The details surrounding Diana's death have always divided the public.

Diana passed away, accompanied by her love interest Dodi Fayed, as her driver Henri Paul fled the paparazzi.

A car crash took place in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel, and claimed the lives of Diana, Dodi and of Henri.

Trevor Rees-Jones, a bodyguard, survived with a serious head injury and left in need of facial reconstruction. He claims to have no recollection of the crash.

Some people think the death was a tragic accident, though there are also many conspiracy theories at play.
