Queen Camilla makes sad admission about her grandkids as she reveals one major thing has changed

Queen Camilla reminisced about her grandchildren being younger

In her most recent public appearance, Queen Camilla reflected on her grandchildren growing up as she made a 'sad' admission.

Queen Camilla, 77, took a day out to the theatre earlier this week and discussed trips with her grandchildren when they were slightly younger.

She visited the Unicorn Theatre in London on Wednesday afternoon (12 February) where she spoke with actor Rory Kinnear and author Malorie Blackman.

The royal serves as a patron to the theatre and was there to celebrate the launch of its newly opened Creative Hub.

The Unicorn is currently the UK's largest children's theatre and welcomes an enormous 60,000 families and schools every year.

The Queen was toured around the stunning venue, hearing about the latest productions and how it helps the community.

While she was there, Queen Camilla also opened up about her own grandchildren and her fond memories of going to the theatre with them during their early years.

Reflecting on the visit, Kinnear said: “[The Unicorn] is somewhere I used to bring my kids when they were small, I still bring my youngest, and we were just talking about how she used to bring her grandchildren, but we’re both at the point where they’re almost becoming too old now.”

Queen Camilla has 10 grandchildren, five of her own and five step-grandchildren.

He added: “It’s a wonderful place not only for entertaining kids but also for inspiring and giving that first taste of creativity and imagination for so many people.”

Royal fans were happy to see Queen Camilla engaging in public appearances more frequently after a health scare late last year.

The Palace issued a statement at the time, explaining that she had withdrawn from public engagements after receiving medical advice.

The statement said: "Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest.

"With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal.

"She apologises to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result."

It came after a spate of ill health in the royal family, as Queen Camilla then gave an update on her husband King Charles, who revealed last year that he was diagnosed with cancer.
