But in and amongst the strange rules, was one that she set for the whole family, and apparently, it was all their fault.

There’s nothing quite like a Christmas Eve playing competitive board games, especially with your siblings, but as we all know too well, things can get heated.

The game, for those who haven’t played, involves players buying, selling, and trading properties to build their wealth and bankrupt their opponents.
If we’re being honest, the Royal’s could probably play this game with real properties and money, but the possibility of that happening is slim.
The revelation about her rule was made in an old interview with Prince Andrew.
According to a 2008 article in The Telegraph, the Monopoly issue was revealed by Prince Andrew when he visited the Leeds Building Society's newly-refurbished Albion Street headquarters for lunch.

As a gift, they gave him a Monopoly set, but on receiving it he said: “We're not allowed to play Monopoly at home.
“It gets too vicious.”
And I think we can all recall a time where this game has gotten slightly out of hand.

The late Queen was actually said to have preferred The Name Game, which includes players attempting to guess different famous people from a series of yes or no questions.
It’s safe to say we would love to be a fly on the wall for this one in Buckingham Palace.
The most surprising of all, is that she also used to enjoy playing the blowing simulator on Wii Sports.
As long as the remote doesn’t get launched into the TV like it did in our household…

A 2008 report from Wired, claimed that Her Majesty begged to join in after watching Prince William playing the popular video game.
But it seems as though two of the Royals have different rules about Monopoly in their household, as it was revealed that both William and Kate are partial to the game.
William and Kate are supposedly fond of board games such as Risk as well, which is said to be a staple during the Christmas period.
