Koci Selamaj, 36, pleaded guilty to Sabina's murder back in February, and was handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 36 years on Friday morning.
Sabina was walking through Cator Park in Kidbrooke, south-east London to meet a friend at a pub on 17th September last year when she was attacked and killed, with her body not being found until the following day.
Selamaj was accused of carrying out a 'pre-meditated and predatory' attack on 28-year-old Sabina, after travelling to London from his home in Eastbourne.
The court was shown CCTV footage of what happened, in which Sabina appeared "oblivious" before she was attacked by Selamaj from behind. The attacker was seen hitting her over the head multiple times with a weapon before removing some of her clothing and subsequently trying to cover her body in grass.

Selamaj refused to attend his sentencing on Friday.
Discussing Selamaj's refusal to turn up to court, Jebina believes he should be in prison "until he dies".
“Life should mean life because he's taken my sister's life without a second thought," she said.

“So he should have all of his rights taken away because obviously he didn't turn up to court on Thursday and Friday. And life... if you’ve taken a life you should serve life until you die.
“... It made me angry because I wanted him to hear our impact statement to show how much hurt he's caused my family.
“I think it's so important, the fact that they should be able to make the murderer, the perpetrator, come into court and listen."
Viewers at home have praised Jebina for opening up about her grief, with one tweeting: "Good to hear from Sabina Nessa's sister Jebina on #R4Today and #GMB earlier this morning.
