Safiyya Vorajee has opened up about Azaylia Cain's final moments a year after she passed away.

Safiyya visited Lorraine to promote her new book, Loving and Losing You, Azaylia.

She said: “Writing the book has been great therapy for me, I have put my heart and soul into it , poured my pain and love into each page and I hope that resonates with everyone who reads my beautiful book.”
Azaylia Diamond Cain captured the hearts of the nation after Safiyya and Ashley Cain shared their daughter's brave battle against a rare form of blood cancer, which she was diagnosed with at just eight weeks old.
Sadly, she passed away in April last year.
Safiyya opened up to Lorraine Kelly about the moment she knew her daughter’s time had come and how she felt in that moment.

“I feel like it was a parental instinct, I'd never felt that before as I was a first time mother,” Safiyya said.
She also revealed she would sing When You Believe by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey to "always keep the belief and hope".
To mark the year that has passed since Azaylia died, Safiyya posted a video of her signing the song to her daughter.

The 34-year-old also shared clips of a garden arrangement designed for Azaylia, which included dozens of cuddly toys and a flower arrangement which spelled the youngster's name.
She also wore orange, the colour of leukaemia awareness in the the video as she reflected on the year that has passed since the death of her daughter.
Safiyya and Ashley announced their split in March however Ashley said in his statement that the couple will always be “bonded”.

Together they launched the Azaylia Foundation in August last year with the funds they raised for lifesaving treatment in Singapore their daughter was not able to receive.
Safiyya and Ashley work together through the foundation to help individual child cancer patients and to bring equipment to the UK which is not readily available on the NHS.
This means families will no longer have to raise large amounts of money for their child to have specialist treatment.
