Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden has taken to social media to update fans on her battle with breast cancer.
The 32-year-old first publicly revealed she'd been diagnosed with breast cancer in May, 2023.
In July, she gave a heartbreaking update that on top of her stage three breast cancer, doctors had discovered she has another type of cancer too - resulting in her requiring chemotherapy.

Today (Thursday, 3 August), Amy took to Instagram to give fans and followers an update on her treatment.
Amy shared three photographs of herself at hospital, one outside and two indoors on a ward with a cold cap on - cold caps used in chemotherapy treatment to try and prevent hair loss.
The Strictly dancer explained she's just completely her first round of chemotherapy.

She joked: "I looked worse going in than coming out actually."
The professional dancer opened up about being unable to sleep before going into hospital.
The post continues: "I got there and I just burst into tears, luckily my pink sister made sure I walked in and helped me through it and distracted from the brain freeze of the cold cap. (wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be!) thank you @jenny.markey not sure what I would do without you! Lucky to have you!

"Red Devil went in, had another cry but I’ve left knowing chemo one done and not as bad as I thought. This is due to the incredible team and nurses! Thank you NHS!
"Hopefully not too many side affects. One step closer to being back on the dance floor. (that’s what’s hurting the most right now, I’d do anything to be there with my fellow strictly pros right now). But for now chemo one [tick] #breastcanceryoung #chemotherapy #firstchemo #chemoport #raisingawareness #ididit #everyoneneedsafriendlikejen."
Strictly Come Dancing fans and other followers of Amy have flooded to the post in support of the dancing star.
