The 35-year-old remains in critical condition.
Official reports released on Tuesday (11 June) claim that the couple ventured into Sonoran Sea Resort's on-site jacuzzi at round 8.30pm.
It wasn't until eyewitnesses noticed that the duo weren't moving in the water that they alerted the authorities, who performed CPR on Jorge, 43, and Lizette for several minutes.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, one witness claimed she received a painful shock from the water when she tried to aid the couple, before contacting the emergency services.
