Tom Parker Funeral: Family And Friends Gather To Pay Respects To The Wanted Singer

Tom Parker's funeral is taking place in east London today.

A celebration of Tom Parker's life is taking place in east London today.

The funeral, organised by The Wanted singer's widow Kelsey, will see members of the public invited along to pay their respects to the beloved The Wanted singer and is being relayed on screens outside the venue.

The father-of-two passed away last month aged 33, after being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in October 2020.

His grieving widow said she wanted the funeral to be open not just to the singer's friends and family, but for all the mourning fans too.

Kelsey had invited mourners to gather outside the Saint Francis of Assisi Parish Church in Petts Wood for the 10:45am service, where the private service will be screened to those outside.

The late singer's wife led the funeral procession, walking arm in arm with her parents, while Tom's bandmates lined the procession route.

The procession featured three black horses and a carriage, containing the singer's coffin.

Hundreds of fans dressed in black gathered along procession's route to pay their respects to the well-loved singer and his family.

Flowers spelling out the word 'Daddy' from Tom's children two children Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one, adorned the side of the funeral carriage.

Outside of the Church, one flower arrangement spelled out ''Glad You Came' the title of one of The Wanted's hit songs that charted globally.

Kelsey has requested that people donate to her GoFundMe account in lieu of gifts and flowers. The fund raised will be donated to charities in Tom's name.

"We want to take everyone’s incredible love, support and generosity and turn our grief into something positive and to keep Tom’s memory alive forever." She wrote.

"We politely request that instead of gifts and flowers, donations are made to this GoFundMe account with all proceeds eventually going to amazing causes in Tom’s name, to help others in need."
