A major airline has scrapped its well-loved free luggage allowance policy in a move which will likely infuriate travellers.
The change applies to city break packages and has been in effect since 7 August.
Now, travellers will have to make do with a bag that fits underneath the seat in front of them or fork out the cash for cabin baggage.

Prior to the change, passengers were given a generous 23kgs of free luggage allowance for check-in bags.
TravelGossip reports that easyJet bosses said the decision was made to 'make [their] packages even better with lower pricing'.
A spokesperson for the airline told The Sun: "We're now giving customers the choice to decide whether they would like to pay for hold luggage, rather than it being automatically included."

easyJet Holidays gave the following statement: "We pride ourselves on delivering brilliant holidays at unbeatable prices, so we continuously listen to our customers on what would make our packages even better.
"Our customers have told us that 23kg for city breaks isn’t always necessary, which is why from 7 August 2024 our city break holidays will include flights and hotel accommodation as standard, and an option of adding large cabin bags and holding luggage for a fee.
"The savings made through not attaching a bag to the booking will be applied to the overall holiday cost, and we’re confident that tailoring our packages to suit the needs of holidaymakers will continue to provide our customers with ease and flexibility throughout their experience."

So there you have it - make sure you're always brushing up on the rules before you jet off.
Fellow budget airline Ryanair has also shared some airport-related wisdom recently.
According to the airline, there are three very common suitcase colours that you should avoid.
The company stressed that you should avoid having a black, blue or grey suitcase, or risk getting your bags mixed up with other people's at baggage claim.

It claims that in an effort to 'make it easier' to spot your checked-in baggage on the belt - and to properly ensure you don't end up swanning off with somebody else's bag - it's best to avoid those three popular colours at all costs.
But if you absolutely have to choose one of those colours, you should consider adding something unique to it, like a sticker, in order to identify it more easily.
