Summer holidays are all about tanning days out at the beach, cocktails galore and showing off your copious collection of swimming cozzies.
However, it's clear that we may have more to worry about than packing enough SPF and remembering our passports as Brits abroad now face a huge travel warning if heading to Spain.
Anyone planning to jet off to Spain this summer have been warned that donning a two-piece swimsuit can land you in some serious deep water.

Now, Spain is absolutely no stranger when it comes to introducing new tourist rules.
Gone are the days of getting liquored all day by the pool, at the beach, in the arcade, at the bar, wherever really as Brits have previously already been warned of the all-inclusive drinking rules.
Gov.uk explains that it’s illegal to drink alcohol in the street in some areas of Spain and, if caught doing so, you could be handed an on-the-spot fine there and then.

Local laws also limit the sale and availability of alcohol in areas of some resorts on the Balearic Islands, including:
- Magaluf (Calvià), Mallorca
- Playa de Palma, Mallorca
- San Antonio (San Antoni de Portmany), Ibiza
This bans:

- happy hours
- open bars (such as ‘all you can drink in one hour’ offers)
- the sale of alcohol from vending machines
- self-service alcohol dispensers
- organising pub crawls and party boat trips
- ‘off-licence’ sales between 9:30pm and 8am
"Hotels and other establishments will evict you if you behave dangerously on balconies," the UK Foreign Office (FCDO) adds. "You could also get a fine."

It's truly the end of an era.
The Government of the Balearic Islands rolled out the alcohol rules to curb ‘embarrassing’ holidaymakers from spoiling holidays for themselves and others in the resort.
Previously, the Balearic Islands Tourism minister Iago Negueruela said: "We want British tourists - we don't want this type of tourism.
"British tourism is essential for our islands. We share with the British government the view that some images of British tourists are embarrassing.

"We want to put a stop to bad behaviour. We will increase the police presence in these areas and the number of inspectors - we will have zero tolerance for tourism excesses."
And it's not just boozing as, according to FCDO: "In some parts of Spain it’s illegal to be in the street wearing only a bikini or swimming shorts."
The government adds that being bare-chested is also illegal in some areas in Spain.
"You could be fined if you’re caught wearing swimwear on the seafront promenade or adjacent streets," the official website notes.
You've been warned...
