This week, however, hundreds of regular customers have been left utterly blindsided after discovering what the tiny blue and red logo actually is.
It's true, if you inspect the logo close-up, you'll see that it's not just a red blob sitting pretty on top of a blue blob.
And one TikToker has pointed out what it actually stands for.

Taking to the video-sharing app, the woman in question - who goes by the username @chxrll - shared a video suggesting that it's actually the head of someone tucked up in bed sleeping.
And honestly, if you take a proper look at the logo, you'll see that she's absolutely right.
If that news comes as a surprise to you, however, don't worry. You're apparently not the only one.
In fact, in the videos comment section, another user simply suggested it was just some well chosen colours.

Others, however, believe that the logo actually shows hills, writing: "But if you actually take a look at the Travelodge logo, it just looks like some red sky behind a backdrop amid the familiar colours - but apparently not.
