The son and daughter of a Romanian man who vanished into thin air back in 1991, only to reappear 30 years later with no recollection of the fate that befell him, are still filled with questions over his whereabouts.
In a heartbreaking confession, Vasile Gorgos' family claim they can 'no longer understand' what their father is saying, after the now 95-year-old remained absent from his family for over three decades.
The former farmer's family last laid their eyes upon Gorgos back in the early 90s, after he bid them goodbye on his way to a business trip on the east side of the European country.

Until August 2021, that is, when his family claim a car suddenly pulled up outside of their home, from which an allegedly confused Gorgos emerged, wearing the same clothes he'd been wearing the day he disappeared.
It's said the car then sped off too quickly for any witnesses to jot down its registration.
His ID also remained in his pocket, as did the single train ticket valid for the Bacău-Ploieşti line, which he'd taken the day he disappeared.

By this point, Gorgos' family had already held a memorial service in his honour, believing the worst had happened to him.
The then 62-year-old had paid for his train ticket home in advance on the day he vanished, but failed to reappear again that very same evening, leading his family to alert the police.
His loved ones suspected foul play had occurred after the search ran cold, and despite countless appeals, no one could find any trace of the land-worker, until he reappeared three years ago.
Asked by investigating officers where he'd been the entire time, Gorgos stated he had been at 'home'.

According to The Sun - who earlier this year reported Gorgos was now 95 - the man wasn't found to have be in 'good medical condition' despite some neurological problems following his disappearance.
He was reportedly able to recall stories about his father, the fact his wife had passed away, and his birthday.
Tragically, however, it's said the elderly man couldn't recognise his own children.

"We don’t understand him," his son told the press at the time. "He doesn’t know what he’s saying.
"He talks to us about the period when he was involved in raising and selling cows. We ask him one thing, and he tells us another."
Gorgos' family added that they're still grieving over the questions that remain unanswered surrounding their father's disappearance.
"Who knows where he has been, who kept him, maybe he was forced to work… who knows what kind of life he led?" his son added.
