There’s nothing worse than getting sat next to a grumpy stranger on a flight, but then there’s grumpy.

And the person that one 22-year-old first time flyer found herself next to definitely falls into the latter category, as you’re about to find out.

Writing on Reddit, the young woman explained she’d settled into her first ever plane journey by selecting an inflight movie. Her film of choice? Uncharted starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg.

But before long, the woman sitting next to her asked her to turn the film off because she ‘didn’t want to see any spoilers’. Pretty bonkers, right? Well, it gets worse.

She then explained to her fellow passenger that she could watch Uncharted herself on her own screen, but she declined because she ‘wanted to watch another movie instead’.

The 22-year-old continued: "I responded that I was going to keep watching my movie. She huffed and she started to complain, but I just ignored her."

However, after this interaction, it seemed like the woman wasn't going to make this an easy flight.

As the Reddit user went on to explain, she continued to watch the film but her fellow passenger ‘bumped into her’ numerous times as she made her way to the bathroom.

And what’s more, at the end of the flight, the other woman jumped up from her seat to grab her bags, apparently blocking the aisle for everyone else. She then started ‘yelling’ at the 22-year-old when she began to get her luggage.

She explained: “By this time I was tired and ready to get off the plane and said 'ma'am if you were in such a rush to get off, then you should have a picked a seat closer to the front or gotten and upgraded seat’.”

She went on: "She rolled her eyes and called me a 'stuck up b***h' and kept going on and on about how people are so disrespectful these days."

Needless to say, fellow Redditors were quick to throw their support behind the first time flyer in the comment section beneath her post.

One person said: "Some people think they are the main character of everyone's story. and not just their own."

Another person simply said: “The woman is an a**hole” while a third said: "That is such a weird request. How could any adult justify it? Don't watch a movie on a tiny screen with earphones across the aisle from me on an airplane because I can't control myself from seeing spoilers."

They added: "The only way I could see this being an acceptable request is if the movie was very violent/gory. And there was a child involved. Adults can control where their eyes go."
