Men Try To Use Tampons With Hilarious Results

No, it's not a party popper.

Do men know how to use tampons? We've taken to the streets to find out.

Unsurprisingly it turns out they do not.

Watch the video below:

The video begins with one man confidently explaining what a tampon is, and that it is used to soak up the blood, like a period pad.

Once handed a tampon, however, his becomes somewhat confused. Asked what the "blue thing" (the applicator) is for, he responds "for after" suggesting that it could be used when disposing of the tampon.

A guess that could make sense, but is ultimately not the case when the applicator used to help the individual place the tampon in the right place.

Of the men featured in the video, none of them seemed quite sure what the applicator was, or how to use it.

While the majority did remove the tampon from the applicator, they did so by pulling on the string, some of them quite quickly too.

Viewers were quick to comment on the hilarity, with one writing: "Boys it's no a party popper."

"Second brudda pulled it out like a party popper," added a second.

Once they removed the tampon from the applicator, albeit not in the right way, the men did seem aware of what the next step would be, with one hilariously quipping that he "ain't doing a demonstration."

Given how little men are taught about the menstrual cycle, it's not particularly surprising that none of these men knew how to correctly use a tampon - and to be fair, there are plenty of women who struggle with this too.

Perhaps if men were taught more about periods, it still wouldn't be entirely necessary for them to learn the correct way to use a tampon.

Nevertheless, it is strange to think that huge swathes of the population use this product every month, while others have no idea how it is used.
