A woman has shared the heartbreaking text messages from her boyfriend asking her to wear makeup to “make a good first impression” when meeting his friends for the first time.

She assumed the meet-up would be a “casual” affair and decided not to get dressed up or wear makeup.
But her boyfriend clearly had an entirely different perspective.
Lily’s unnamed boyfriend sent her message which said: “Hey hey babe. Have you started getting ready for tonight yet?”
Lily replied: “Yeah I’m ready now.”
The boyfriend then asked: “Ooh can I see gorgeous?”
Lily responded by explaining she wasn’t wearing anything fancy. “I haven’t done makeup or anything for tonight, it’s just casual right?”
The boyfriend was clearly unimpressed and urged his girlfriend to dress up a bit more to wow his pals.
“Yeah babe but do you mind just popping a little bit on as you are meeting my mates and stuff for the first time,” he said.
Shocked that he wasn’t joking, Lily posted more screenshots of his shocking response in the video.
“Don’t want them thinking I’ve pulled a clapped one,” he added.
“First impressions and that.”
"Now I don’t want to go because you’ve made me feel bad about it,” Lily told him.
But Lily’s boyfriend told her not to come if she refused to wear makeup. He wrote: “Ugh babe don’t bother then, either put something on your face or don’t turn up because I cba."
Lily asked her followers at the end of the video: “Why do I always end up with toxic men?”
She also confirmed the pair had since parted ways and she captioned the video: “Here’s to being single in 2022”.
One viewer commented: “When I tell you this boy would’ve received the SWIFTEST block.”
Another person wrote: “Ain’t no way he thought it was okay to say that.”
A third TikTok user said: ‘When I tell you my jaw dropped to the other side of the earth.”
While a fourth quipped: “And that sir is how you end a relationship in 3 seconds.”
And one person replied: “Send the screenshots to his mum so she knows what she raised.”
Lily replied in the comments: “Good idea.”
