A woman has been urged to leave her husband after he cancelled her job interview, claiming it would 'save her from rejection'.
Taking to Reddit earlier this year, the user that goes by of Mall4907677, revealed how she had to leave her job in 2019 due to 'physical disabilities'.
After she left, the woman revealed the struggles she encountered while trying to get back into work.

She said: "No company wanted to hire me for the past couple of years and my husband said that it's better I just stay home and not worry about working."
The woman initially agreed to her husband's request, but things quickly changed as she took on all the household chores despite her physical limitations.
After experiencing 'physical discomfort', the woman made an agreement with her husband.

"He made a deal with me and promised that everything will be 50/50 once I start working again," she continued on the thread.
"I told him I would find a job and he laughed and said 'good luck' (I remember this vividly because of the strange laugh that I never heard him laugh before)."
The woman then started her job hunt, but it took a few months for anything to start popping up.
She said her friend's husband found her a potential job at a company where she could work from home, ideal for her physical restraints.

"I was so excited and felt like I'm capable again despite the struggle, they scheduled an interview with me," she said.
However, when she told her husband, he did not exactly look best pleased.
The woman later found out her job interview had been cancelled after her friend contacted her and asked why she had turned the job down.
She was left utterly bemused, as checking her emails revealed she had even sent anything to the company.

Shockingly, her husband later admitted that he cancelled the interview.
She said: "I asked why and he said that 'this job had lots of requirements and I didn't seem fit to be accepted there so to spare me the heartache of being rejected, he just cancelled the interview.
"I flipped out on him and told him he destroyed my one and only chance at landing a job. But he said he was just feeling concerned about my wellbeing."
The woman claims he called her 'horrible' for having bad intentions and has 'cold-shouldered' her since.

She concluded by saying her husband has deleted her social media accounts because 'they're bad for my mental health'.
People have been commenting on the popular Reddit thread, with many calling for the woman to leave her husband.
One redditor said: "This man has extreme control issues! RUN! He should be lifting you up and encouraging your growth and happiness. Not beating you down when you try to do something that makes you happy."
A second added: "This sub's first response always seems to be to leave, but in this case, definitely. He's trying to control every aspect of your life - run, before he succeeds."
And a third said: "Change all your passwords to something he can't guess. Secure any important papers and get out of there as fast as you can."
