Whether they’re sharing their insider knowledge or recommending the best products for us and our skin type, we can’t get enough of watching skincare tips from dermatologists on social media.

So, when we spotted that Dr Shereene Idriss has released her beloved skincare range here in the UK, we couldn’t contain our excitement. And here’s why you should be keeping an eye out for the collection of products in-store and online…

Dr. Idriss

Who is Dr Idriss?

As we say, you might have already spotted Dr Idriss on social media as you’ve scrolled through. But you’ll find her as @shereeneidriss on Instagram and TikTok, where she’s amassed millions of followers and fans. Ultimately she’s a board certified dermatologist with celebrity clients like Emily Ratajkowski and Ashley Graham, to name but a few.

So, it made perfect sense for her to come up with her very own skincare line, simply called Dr. Idriss. Launched in her native US in 2022, with it arriving in Sephora stores across the pond earlier this year, it’s set to make its debut here in the UK sometime in September. And if the American response is anything to go by, it will no doubt fly off the shelves here.

With something for every skin type, the clinically, dermatologist and allergy tested products are designed to be non-irritating and are free from fragrance, which is especially great to hear if you suffer from sensitive or reactive skin.

It was actually one skin condition in particular which prompted Shereene to start the brand in the first place.

After struggling herself with melasma – also known as hyperpigmentation – she wanted to create products to simultaneously help fade dark spots and brighten the skin.

And the brand has taken off from there.

There are currently a handful of products in the range – from the Allure Best Of Beauty Award winning The Depuffer Roll-On-Serum to the bestselling Major Fade Active Seal Moisturiser.

Get to know our favourite products below.

The Depuffer Roll-On Serum

No matter how long you stayed out last night, it’s never been easier to banish those tell-tale puffy morning eyes.

Designed to relieve skin redness, the cult serum is supercharged with active ingredients and has received hundreds of positive reviews online.

One happy customer even recommends storing the serum in the fridge for an even more indulgent experience.

How to use

  • Apply whenever you like to clean, dry skin.
  • Twist the roller ‘on’, gentle squeeze, and glide over your skin.
  • Twist the roller ‘off’ and roll until your heart’s content (and your puffy eyes are no more).
  • Pat off any excess product and allow it to dry before you put any makeup on.

Major Fade Active Seal Moisturiser

This is one to improve skin tone. A two-in-one vitamin C moisturiser, it brings together powerful active ingredients to hydrate the skin, help fade dark spots, and protect from pollution and other pesky irritants.

Soft Wash

If you’ve got sensitive skin, look no further. It may feel gentle, but the Soft Wash doesn't mess around - it will tackle stubborn makeup and suncream in one fell swoop.

  • Leave on for 10-15 minutes.

What are customers saying?

With plenty of five-star reviews, shoppers have been blown away by the results.

One explained: “I have used the major fade system for six months and I would say this is FANTASTIC… my skin looks and feels the best it has ever felt!! At 61 years old, I cannot say enough positive things about her products!”

Another simply stated: “Dr Shereene never misses!”

While a third added: “I am really happy with the way the products are working. I notice a difference and the products feel great! I live in Europe but make sure I buy enough to last me when I am home visiting.”

It looks like they won’t need to be doing that anymore after the UK launch.

If the product you're after sells out (we wouldn't be surprised), no need to worry. The collection is also available to shop at Sephora.
