I'm sure by now we know all about the generation debate between Gen Z and Millennials.
From the whole middle parting versus side parting saga, the skinny jeans versus baggy jeans debate, all the way up to dating lingo and even smoking habits - it's clear these two generations are worlds apart.
And the latest gap between the pair sees Gen Z leaving Millennials utterly confused after claiming that one clothing 'staple' is actually now totally 'out of fashion'.

Look, whether you admit it or not, we all want to keep up with the latest trends.
But it seems the trend cycles are accelerating at a quicker rate than ever with the latest fashion 'out' leaving many of those born between 1981 and 1996 beyond baffled.
One model, who goes by the handle @sarahcoome online, recently took to TikTok to ask her 219.3k followers for some styling advice, but inadvertently ruffled some feathers while doing so.

Sarah began: "Are crop tops like, on the out? I feel like they're going out of fashion. The reign of the crop tops lasted for so long, like they have been a staple throughout the years.
"But I feel like this whole like classy, sort of sophisticated, kind of old money look is really taking over and crop tops don't really fit into that category."
She continued: "Bodysuits are just like apocalyptic like they're taking over - even just shirts that end more at the hip line like the midriff showing a little bit but not the whole stomach is so much more in fashion right now.

"Which means that I literally have to start over. I have cropped sweaters, cropped jackets, my workout clothes are cropped, like everything, everything is cropped!"
Sarah finished up: "I'm willing to start over but I just need to know what's in? What are we replacing the crop tops with? Are we focusing more on accessories? Are we wearing more dresses?"
She captioned the clip: "Looks like I'm gonna have to go shopping."

Some were totally against Sarah's theory with one TikTok user writing: "I love crop tops they make me feel so confident and hot!"
"As a short torso girl I will not stop wearing crop tops lol," admitted a second.
"I love my crop tops and I will be continuing to wear them, thank you," hit out a third while a fourth echoed: "I only own crop tops and I will not change."
And another declared: "Crop tops will never be out."

Others, however, couldn't have agreed with her more.
"I’m so over everything being a crop top! Sometimes I just want a normal T-shirt," wrote one TikToker, as a second chimed in: "I LOVE longer tube tops."
"I’ve been saying this forever," revealed a third. "I want a cute shirt without my stomach out 24/7."
A fourth pleaded: "I can’t ever find a shirt that’s NOT crop top I just want a normal shirt!!"
"These days trends come and go way too fast. Might as well just wear what you want," urged a final TikTok user.
Couldn't agree more.
Where do you stand on the crop top debate?
