Move over Gen Z, this news is all about us Millennials having something to rave about.
Back in the day, when we needed an outfit for literally any occasion, Topshop was the go to.
It was the one and only shop on the high street that I knew without a doubt, I'd find something I loved on the beloved rails.

I used to turn up to the Boxing Day sales before the shop assistants arrived to open up, and it was somewhat of a religious experience for those of us who were experimenting with fashion in our teens.
Supermodel Kate Moss even had her own collection with Topshop, and Alexa Chung designed some capsules for the brand - letting us all believe that with the right vinyl mini skirt, we too could land a rockstar boyfriend.
Then in 2020, Topshop collapsed when it's parent company, Arcadia Group Ltd, went into administration and all stores across the UK were permanently closed.

A year later, fashion online retailer ASOS swooped in and started selling the brand on their website.
Then came the announcement we've all been waiting for... rumours of Topshop returning to the high street - and we are shaking.
On 5 September, The Guardian reported that Topshop and Topman could be making their grand return to our high streets following ASOS's decision to sell a 75 percent stake in the brand to Heartland, who also own clothing brands like Jack & Jones. One of Heartland's subsidiaries, Bestseller, also hold 29.5 percent in shares of ASOS.
No official announcement has confirmed that stores are set to return, however, chief exec at ASOS, José Antonio Ramos Calamonte, said: "We might open stores. We will consider it for sure but we have no specific agreement to open a certain number."

Cue the excited reactions from people just like me who were once - let's face it - defined by the existence of Topshop.
Influencer @bettyglue made a now-viral video dancing around her room with the caption: "The indie sleaze in me when I hear that TOPSHOP STORES ARE COMING BACK."
One person commented: "It better be the 2007 Topshop they are bringing back and not the 2019 version."

Another added: "This is gonna heal the indie millennials like me fr!!! I literally bought a Topshop dress on Vinted recently that I had when I was 19 like a decade ago, giving me pure nostalgia. Hope they bring back noughties style designs."
While a third wrote: "Just started foaming at the mouth bro. Who needs therapy if Topshop is back, tf."
