Matalan and Asda have been hit with complaints over a popular Jubilee product.
The high street giants both released Jubilee themed clothing for customers this month, with Matalan launching a £20 Jubilee dress, while Asda released matching £8 Jubilee dresses for mums, aunties, sisters, grandmas and daughters.
The items have been hailed the ideal style for the Jubilee weekend, with Matalan describing their design as 'the perfect garden party dress'.

But shoppers have been left fuming after both styles totally sold out in record time.
Asda offered an explanation and an apology, revealing they are working hard to replenish stock and have more sizes available online. They also pointed customers in the direction of their local stores, too, with the possibility that there could be more available in shops.
“Sorry folks, you loved the dress so much it sold out in record time!!" they said, as reported by The Mirror.

"The team are working hard to get more sizes available online. It may be worth checking in your local ASDA store”.
But shoppers were gutted, with one commenting on social media: "Why advertise something out of stock how ridiculous."
While another added: "Every single size out of stock. So this is a pointless post isn’t it!"

And a third said: "Are you going to get them back in stock?"
Meanwhile a fourth commented: "Pointless out of stock."
It was a similar story on Matalan's Facebook page, with customers gutted that the 70s Floral Shirred dress was sold out.
Although the Matalan style doesn't feature a Union Jack, many thought it would be the perfect summery style, with the retailer explaining online: "Jubilee weekend is around the corner and this makes the perfect garden party dress."

One unhappy shopper wrote: "You keep putting lovely dresses on here, then when you look on the website they are never in stock, some never come back in stock, what is the point?!"
While another commented: "Agree 100 percent! Happens all the time and is annoying!!!"
And a third said: "I hope it comes back in to stock."
