The Met Gala had its very own Cinderella moment this year when one woman, who only appeared on the red carpet to report on the iconic event, completely stole the show.
With this year's theme of 'Gilded Glamour', many fashion fans couldn't help but feel disappointed when the vast majority of celebrity attendees failed to serve the dramatic looks we were all hoping for.
However, when Genesis Camila Suero took to the red carpet to report on the event for Spanish-language broadcasting company Telemundo, fans agreed that she fit the theme better than most of the actual guests.

"SHE’S JUST A REPORTER????" tweeted one amazed fan. "YALL WE HAVE A CINDERELLA SITUATION HERE BECAUSE THIS GIRL JUST OWNED MET GALA #MetGala#MetGala2022".

While another joked: "If I were a celeb invited I'd actually just go home and let her shine cause she's eating everyone up."
Fans of Genesis' look are already calling for her to get an official invite to next year's Gala.

One celebrity guest who absolutely killed this year's theme was none other than fashion icon Blake Lively, knocking it out of the park for her sixth Met Gala in a row while co-chairing the event with her husband Ryan Reynolds.
In fact, on this year's red carpet Blake served not just one look, but two, transforming her gown half-way up the iconic Met staircase.
Speaking about her look later on in the night, Blake revealed that her colour-changing gown was inspired by New York City architecture - particularly the Statue of Liberty.

"I arrived copper and then, like New York City classic architecture, I patina-ed" she explained. "This dress is an homage to New York City and so many of the classic iconic buildings."
We can always count on Blake!
