Hey, are you terrified of the possibility of AI?
Well, while some of the leading experts on the subject reckon we should be, there are some uses that it has.
On this occasion, it has been designing the most attractive men from each country in the world, and it’s fair to say that the results have divided opinion.

Created on AI software Midjourney before being shared on Reddit, you'll notice that most of the men have very chiselled jaws and huge muscles, as well as facial hair.
Not much here for the dad bod, or those who like a skinnier chap.
There’s also some indicators of the country that they’re from, from time to time.
So, without further ado, let’s have a look at some of these international beefcakes, shall we?

North Korea is up first, and of course there’s a military theme to it.
He’s got a clean shaven face, as well as a jaw you could measure with a set square.
In the background, we can see an army officer.

Next up, it’s a trip to Iceland, and you can see what the technology is getting at here.
He’s got fair hair, some roguishly unkempt facial hair, and is giving ‘windswept and interesting’ in spades.
In the background, we can just make out the outdoors, and potentially even a glacier.

In stereotypical fashion, the first thing you’ll notice about the Mexican and Dominican Republic efforts are their hats.
Oh, you were taken in by their bulging muscles first?
Well, keep your mind on the task at hand here.

The sombrero and wide-brimmed hats are indicative of their countries, whereas the Mexican fella’s vest is less standard, and about three sizes too small.
Fans have been divided over the AI portraits, with some questioning what makes these imaginary blokes so attractive.
Of course, it’s all subjective.
“Facial hair is required to be good looking, unless you’re North Korean,” said one comment.
“Don’t forget the chiselled jaw,” remarked another.
“Men of Reddit take note: to be attractive you must look concerned, sincere or intense ... ideally all three at once,” another said.
Some people really haven’t been so taken with the artificially generated dudes, with one even suggesting that they all look pretty similar, when you really think about it.
They said: “Is it just me or the fact they all have very similar head shapes makes them look the same?
“It's like one man with different hair/beard colors and styles. And skin tone depending on his mood.”
Obviously, even in the world of AI-designed hunks, beauty really still is in the eye of the beholder.
Whatever distracts the machines from taking over the world can only be good news.
