We're pleased to announced the hotly anticipated second season of Euphoria is almost here.

After more than two years away, largely due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the gritty teen drama starring Zendaya, is officially back on our screens on Monday.

Season one concluded on a cliffhanger, and while fans were treated to a two-part special aired in December 2020 and January 2021, they're on the edge of their seats waiting to know what happens next.

A full length trailer dropped shortly before Christmas and left fans with a lot to digest between Rue (Zendaya) dealing with her relapse and carrying around a mystery suitcase, Maddy (Alexa Demie) joking about how "cute" she would look pregnant, Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) on the verge of a breakdown, and a concerning amount of police sirens.

It wasn't long before fans started to identify potential easter eggs for future plotlines, including a mindblowing Jennifer Lopez theory.

The trailer in question offered fans a teaser clip of what to expect from Maddy Perez (Alexa Demie) this season, including one scene with a rather familiar face.

Fans were focused on one shot in particular that hinted she might have a new confidante, Jenny From the Block songstress and one half of 'Bennifer', J.Lo.

In the shot, the J.Lo lookalike tells Maddy: "If you were still dating guys like this in your 40s, then we'd be having a very different conversation."

Excuse me, what?!

The first teaser, which dropped at the end of November, also left fans with clues that Nate (Jacob Elordi) is dating another main character.

The footage shows Nate driving a car and looks over to the passenger seat. The camera then cuts away to presumably Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) bending over the edge of an open window in a moving car.

This could be a dramatic plot line for season two as Cassie and Maddy (Alexa Demie) are best friends and Maddy dated Nate in the previous season. Cassie is also in a vulnerable position after going having an abortion.

There's only one way to find out what's next in store for the teens at East Highland High School...

Euphoria will air weekly in the US from 9th January on HBO. UK viewers can watch Euphoria on NOW from January 10th.
