Kim Cattrall has described the moment she found out about the Sex and The City reboot, And Just Like That.
Kim, 65, was not part of the reboot, and has now spoke openly about her feelings on And Just Like That, and why she felt returning to the show was not the right decision for her.

Revealing she found out that the reboot was happening online, she told Variety: "I was never asked to be part of the reboot. I made my feelings clear after the possible third movie, so I found out about it like everyone else did — on social media."
Discussing the plot of the proposed third movie - and the series - Kim described the storyline for Samantha as 'heartbreaking'.
In the film that never ended up happening, it's reported that Sam's storyline involved her receiving unwanted “dick pics” from a 14-year-old Brady.
"It’s heartbreaking," she said. "... Everything has to grow, or it dies. I felt that when the series ended, I thought that’s smart. We’re not repeating ourselves. And then the movie to end all the loose ends. And then there’s another movie. And then there’s another movie?"
Kim also put any speculation to rest that she would ever reprise the role of Samantha. When asked about Sarah Jessica Parker saying she 'wouldn't be OK' with Kim picking up the role of Sam again, Kim said: "Well, it would never happen anyway. So nobody has to worry about that."

SJP told Variety: "I don’t think I would, because I think there’s just too much public history of feelings on her part that she’s shared."
Rumours of a clash between the co-stars began swirling around the time Kim ruled herself out of a third SATC movie, but were confirmed in 2018 after SJP sent her condolences following the death of Kim's brother.
Kim promptly set the internet on fire when she responded: “My Mum asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’ Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.”

SJP later attempted to dampen rumours of a fallout, saying: "I don't dislike her. I've never said that. Never would. Samantha isn't part of this story [for the reboot]. But she will always be part of us. No matter where we are or what we do."
