Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely are making television history after becoming the first Love Is Blind couple to officially announce their divorce.
Perhaps love isn't blind after all, Nick and Vanessa Lachey!
Although these two had a seriously rocky start, Jarrette and Iyanna wound up becoming one of the only two successful couples from season two to walk down the aisle and say 'I do'.

Posting the news to Instagram on Wednesday (17 August), they announced: "After much thought, we're saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing.
“While we have love for each other, our lives are going in different directions, and that's okay. Coming to this decision was far from easy and we will always wish each other the absolute best."
They continued: "We hope you all will give us some space as we close this chapter of our lives. Thank you to our close friends and family for loving us both through our experience.

“Each of you have brought overwhelming love and joy into our lives. This experience has taught us so much about ourselves, vulnerability and more. We don't regret a single thing."
Fans of the Netflix reality series had their reservations about Jarrette and Iyanna from the beginning.
While Iyanna was getting to know Jarrette in the pods, he was falling hard... for another contestant named Mallory.

In fact, before Jarrette popped the question to Iyanna, he had already proposed to Mallory, who turned him down and opted to get to know Sal instead.
Immediately on the rebound, Jarrette then ran straight to Iyanna and asked for her hand in marriage whilst simultaneously admitting he had already proposed to someone else.
It's a wonder that this marriage didn't last...
Iyanna eventually accepted his proposal, and the couple finally got to meet face-to-face. But, unfortunately, it wasn't all smooth sailing from there.

The couple struggled with their differences, and had their share of arguments before the big day - though they didn't stand out too much compared to the utter chaos that the other season two couples created.
In the end, Iyanna and Jarrette appeared to have worked things out and decided to go ahead with their wedding, despite some unanswered questions about their compatibility as a couple.
Iyanna and Jarrette, and fellow contestants Nick and Danielle, were the only two couples to make it down the aisle by the end of the series.

While it was undeniably awkward for remaining couples Deepti and Shake, Natalie and Shayne, and Mallory and Sal, to call it quits on their wedding day, they should at least be glad that they avoided all that paperwork.!
