Margot Robbie has announced that she will be taking time out of her busy Hollywood schedule to return for the finale of Neighbours.
The iconic Australian TV show will be ending after 37 years this week as Channel 5 looks to focus instead original British drama.

Robbie, 32, might be better known these days for her roles in films like The Wolf of Wall Street, but prior to this, she was a regular face on Neighbours from 2008 until 2011, which launched her career.

News of Robbie's return was announced on the Neighbours Twitter account.
As reported by the Guardian, the show said of its cancellation, which was announced in February of this year: "Following the loss of a key broadcast partner in the UK, and despite a search for alternative funding, we currently have no option but to rest the show."
The show will end with a double-bill episode on July 29 after being a hit with UK viewers for nearly four decades.

Robbie is not the only famous face who will be returning for the finale, and Kylie Minogue's Charlene Mitchell will also appear in the show.
Viewers will also be treated to an appearance from Jason Donovan's character Scott Robinson.
The careers of all three were launched by the show, which follows the trials and tribulation of the residents of Ramsay Street.

Jason Herbison, the show's executive producer, told the BBC of the finale: "I was really keen to have an ending that would be fulfilling, joyous and would be very Neighbours - it would feel satisfying in terms of where the characters and the storylines are."
However, while this is the finale of the show, it has been reported that it will be ended in such a way that it could be resurrected if it ever becomes an option.
"Everyone is gutted the show is coming to an end but they are determined to go out on a high," a source said, according to The Mirror: "Kylie and Jason have such strong ties to the series they didn't even think twice about returning.

"Bosses have deliberately written the script so that Neighbours could come back in a few years should anyone want to rescue it."
