Married at First Sight UK is in the midst of an explosive season, and the drama is so extreme the show reprtedly had to stop filming.
The revelation was made by one of the show's dating experts, Paul C Brunson, who said the cameras had to stop rolling after a 'wild' wife swap.

He told OK! Magazine that after two of the couples decided to swap wives, producers concluded it was in everyone's best interests to take a breather.
Brunson said: "It was honestly the most wild swap. So much so, that it was a challenge for myself, [a fellow experts] Charlene [Douglas] and Mel [Schilling].
"We debated it for a long time, we had even stopped filming before the scene because we were still debating it out, so the scene was delayed because we were discussing [about] letting them carry on."

Brunson said this series was so dramatic that he even had to visit his therapist more often while filming it.
"I go to therapy and Charlene does as well and I increased my visits this series," he admitted.
The swap came about after Whitney cheated on her husband Duka, who she appeared to dislike from the get-go when they married at first sight after being matched by the experts.

Whitney cheated on her husband – who, thankfully, she is not legally married to – with another one of the contestants, Matt Murray, who in turn does the dirty on his wife Gemma.
The cheating scandal took place when the couples were staying at a retreat together, MailOnline reports.
An insider said: "Whitney and Matt truly shocked the other members of the cast by cheating on their partners – not only because of the hurt it caused but the circumstances too.
"The pairs had gone away to a couples retreat and were there to focus on their relationships, but Whitney and Matt had other ideas.

"Gemma, who thought she had met the love of her life in Matt, was devastated, while Duka had put his all into giving his marriage with Whitney a chance."
Brunson said that all of the drama leads to a discussion about kindness, and he hinted that this will ultimately reveal what he really thinks of Whitney's behaviour.
"We end up discussing what kindness means on the show," he said. "There's an episode where I make thoughts [on Whitney] clear, so how I feel might be evident."
