One of the biggest talking points from the highly anticipated Harry Potter reunion involved actresses Emma Watson and Emma Roberts.

Watson is of course known for playing Hermione Granger in the beloved franchise, but when a throwback childhood snap was shown in Return to Hogwarts, Potterheads were quick to note that the child in the picture was not her.

The picture actually belonged to American Horror Story and Scream Queens actress Emma Roberts.

Yep, Roberts' made a very unexpected "surprise, b***h" appearance just like her Coven character Madison Montgomery and no one saw it coming.

Watson has finally responded to the faux-pas, and let's just say it's clear she saw the funny side of the mix up.

The 31-year-old posted a screenshot of Roberts' throwback pic on her own Instagram with the hilarious caption: "I was NOT this cute, @emmaroberts #emmasistersforever."

Fans absolutely loved Watson's tongue-in-cheek response and posted comments about their love for the two actresses.

"The Emmaverse is real," said one fan on Instagram.

Another Instagram user was also in on the joke, writing: "My goodness this was so hilarious."

A third person said: "Handled like a queen."

While a fourth fan joked: "By the way you was Emma."

Fans who watch the reunion special now will notice that the picture mix-up has been corrected after producers responded to fan's complaints.

Producers released a statement to The Hollywood Reporter two days after the reunion's debut to confirm there had been a mistake and it would be fixed.

They said: “Well spotted, Harry Potter fans! You brought an editing mistake of a mislabeled photograph to our attention. New version is up now."
