This concern made its way onto Twitter, where one user posted two screenshots from the trailer that suggests she’s the next character to fall prey to Vecna.
The screenshots were captioned: “OH VECNA YOU BETTER BE JOKING [sic].”
One screenshot featured what appeared to be Robin being slowly consumed by Vecna’s veins – just like Max was in part one of the season.
Reacting to the screenshots, one fan wrote: “Vecna do not kill the lesbian [sic].”

This prompted another fan to suggest: “Babes…you know why they ain’t airing part 2 this Pride month, right? [sic]”
Another fan added: “imma come for vecna if something happens to robin or steve [sic].”
One wrote that while the screenshot did not bode well for Robin’s future, they firmly believed she’d be saved and shared a screenshot with their evidence.
Another, meanwhile, speculated that new character Eddie Munson is in trouble, as he is featured briefly in the trailer playing the guitar.

They wrote: “I think during this part he starts playing the guitar to distract all the things so they free her and he dies.”
One fan added: “Maybe this is nancy’s chance to make up for that whole barb incident. If she saves robin, then perhaps she’ll stop blaming herself for barb's death [sic].”
Another said that it would be bad for the show overall if something happened to Robin.
They wrote: “killing off robin would be one of the worst things they could do, she’s literally a fan favourite [sic].”

Maya Hawke, the actress who plays Robin, told NME of season four: “[Robin] used her wicked intelligence to help fight the Russians last season and I think you’ll see her learn a lot about what’s going on in the world of Hawkins,” and added: “and use her brilliant mind to tackle those things as well.”
