In the film, Beth (Leighton Meester) is left to her own devices to solve the disappearance of her best friend Kate (Christina Wolfe), having woken up alone in their Croatian Airbnb after a booze-filled night out.
Wanting desperately to get back home to her husband Rob (Luke Norris) and their baby girl Aster in London, Beth can't bring herself to leave until she finds out what happened to Kate.

Eventually, Beth rallies Syrian taxi driver, Zakaria (Ziad Bakri), and a rather reluctant police inspector, Pavic (Amar Bukvic, to help her.
While viewers were pretty much suspicious of all men from the outset, they were shocked when they finally learned what really happened to Kate.
At first, it seems that Inspector Pavic is behind Kate's murder.

It all made sense. His colleague revealed that he was a corrupt officer, and CCTV footage revealed Pavic was with Kate on the night she died. Not only that, but he drove her home from the police station and even tried to hit on her.
Case closed! Or so we thought.
When Beth returns home to London she discovers that her own husband Rob was behind Kate's murder.
Earlier, Beth discovers that Rob and Kate had been having an affair behind her back. But it turns out that Rob followed Beth out to her girls' trip in Croatia to make sure Kate didn't let the cat out of the bag and, well, things got messy.
