WARNING: Spoilers Ahead for Trigger Point
ITV fans tuning in for new drama Trigger Point were in for a shock as last night's opening episode finished with highly graphic scenes and a tense cliffhanger.
An exploding finally and a main character possibly dead...or is he? Viewers believe main character Joel (played by Adrian Lester) could have survive the horrific explosion at the end of the first episode.

The tense drama from Line Of Duty writer Jed Mercurio focuses on a London bomb squad and features familiar face with actress Vicky McClure taking the lead role.
The first episode saw Lana Washington (played by Vicky McClure) alongside colleague Joel Nutkins (played by Adrian Lester) working together as part of an 'expo' team, as the pair worked together to stop one bomb going off within a block of London flats.
Just after stopping one emergency they are quickly being met with another threat when a member of the public is found with a suicide vest after being kidnapped and locked inside the boot of his own car. However, if stopping two bombs wasn't enough - it got worse.
A suspicious van is investigated by Joel in the final few minutes before it explodes.
Viewers were left reeling as just before the credits roll in, a dazed Lana struggling in the aftermath of the explosion comes across a severed arm featuring Joel's distinctive tattoos.
One viewer shared their shock on Twitter: " actually screamed at the end when the bomb went off but i said bet that van has something todo with it and boom! so many questions is the arm the adrian lester caracter? the woman and child was that her husband in the boot of the car?think its going to be good."
Another added: "Amazing shocker end. RIP Adrian Lesters character and his arm."
A third tweeted: "the detatched arm???? omg???"
However, fans have already began to speculate over whether this means Joel is dead or simply missing a limb.
One viewer even joked: "Gotta “hand” it to Adrian Lester though, That arm scene at the end was some of the best acting I’ve seen, certainly the best in the show so far."
Another added: "I'm loving the optimism of the people who think he's ok. Just lost an arm."
Some eagle-eyed viewers spotted the Felix cat tattoos in the build up to the final scenes and dug deeper to find out the meaning - and a possible clue.
One viewer tweeted: "According to an expert: "The tattoo both expos have is Felix (the cat) which means lucky. Nine lives. It’s the symbol of counter-terrorism bomb disposal. They also have their blood group on their arm"."
Viewers questionned whether Lana and Joel having matching tattoos would come up in the storyline: "I just want to know the story behind Lana & Joel’s matching tattoos now. I hope there’s a flashback or something"
The series continues next week, and we will be glued to our screen to see what happens next!
Trigger Point continues on Sunday 30th January on ITV at 9pm.
