Life After Death With Tyler Henry has recently arrived on Netflix, and like many TV mediums before him, Henry has divided audiences.
While some viewers believe that Henry truly does have a gift and is communicating with the dead, others have been far more skeptical.
One Reddit user did not hold pack when posting to the r/television subreddit: "Life After Death with Tyler Henry may be the most insultingly stupid show Netflix has ever created" they began, continuing that the show had "eyes rolling so far into the back of my skull."

Another user posted to r/mediums saying they haven't yet watched the show but they "watched several readings of his on youtube and to me it was very clear that he was cold reading."
A cold reading is a technique used by some mediums where they make high probability guesses and quickly pick up on signals as to whether these guesses are going in the right direction then emphasising and reinforcing chance connections and quickly moving on from missed guesses.
Other viewers, however, have not been quite so skeptical.

One Twitter user wrote that: "He is the real deal!! He makes me believe in some form of after life."
Another Tweeted directly to Henry, writing that: "I've never really believed in mediums, not that I know anything about them. But you seem... different. Real."

Prior to Netflix's Life After Death With Tyler Henry, Henry had a TV show on the E! Television Network, Hollywood Medium With Tyler Henry.
Henry's celebrity clients have included the Kardashians, Megan Fox, Chad Michael Murray, and Amber Rose.
Henry's abilities have previously made headlines following the death of actor Alan Thicke.
Several months before his death, Thicke appeared on Hollywood Medium. Among the many topics discussed by Henry, he suggested that Thicke had a heart problem like "multiple men" in Thicke's family.

On December 13, 2016, actor Alan Thicke died due to aortic dissection - a heart condition.
Critics of Henry, including renowned skeptic Susan Gerbic, suggested that this not a psychic prediction but just guesswork, adding that heart disease is the number one cause of death for American males.
