Bella Hadid has been praised by fans after sending a supportive message to Ariana Grande in the aftermath of the singer hitting out at body shamers.
The singer took to TikTok this week to share a candid message with not only her fans who have been concerned over her appearance in recent weeks, but also to trolls who have been body shaming and criticising her online.
Explaining how she 'doesn't do this often', Grande said: "I just wanted to address your concerns about my body and talk a little bit about what it means to be a person with a body and to be seen and to be paid such close attention to."
The popstar then added: "I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people's bodies, no matter what.

"If you think you're saying something good or well intentioned, whatever it is: healthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, not sexy... we just shouldn't.
"We should really work towards not doing that as much."
Grande also suggested that if you don't like something, you should just ignore it rather than spend time writing cruel comments online.

She then went on to the topic of how 'healthy' doesn't look the same on all bodies, adding: "There are many different kinds of beautiful. There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful."
The singer was met with floods of praise and admiration after posting the heartfelt video, with millions expressing their sadness over the fact she had to explain herself over her own body image and what she has been going through behind closed doors.
And one of those people was model Bella Hadid, who took to Instagram to applaud Grande's bravery and urge others to 'be kind'.

"You never know what someone is dealing with mentally or physically," the model wrote.
"Disease or depression. Grief or heartache. You just don’t, and you will never know until you walk in a day in their shoes."
"Instead of unsolicited advice or opinions, judgement or aggression, just try to offer a helping hand and be kind.
"There is always a reason for the way people look/feel , so try to be soft , especially when you don’t know someone or what they’ve been through."

Hadid then reminded her followers that Instagram 'is not real' and we are 'just human beings', adding: "So next time someone wants to write a nasty article to make fun, or a mean comment to get some likes , just remember that.
"If someone wants to talk badly about another person , remove yourself from the conversation."
Hadid's touching message didn't go unnoticed by fans who swiftly took to the comments section to praise her kind words, with one writing: "See how effortless it is to be kind."

Another said: "Thanks for sharing & always raising awareness on important topics. world needs more people like you."
While one fan added: "I love how you use the platform to say important things, you reach so many people and you always worry about putting the right words and a message that serves to reflect but without taking away the kindness and sweetness."
