Camila Cabello has explained her break-up with Shawn Mendes.
Back in November 2021, the couple of two years revealed on Instagram that they had ended their relationship.

Their statements read: “Hey guys we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship, but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever.
“We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.
The post ended: “We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward, Camila and Shawn”.
Four months on, Cabello has explained the reasoning behind their breakup.

The 25-year-old Cuban-American singer told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe: “As I get older, the priorities shift. And I feel like it was that way for both of us.”
Cabello added: “We both started so young, too. It’s like we’re really learning how to be healthy adults.”
The Amazon’s Cinderella actor also explained how her “focus has changed throughout” the journey of her life.

“I love Shawn, and I feel like there is literally nothing but love for him. I’m finally at a place where I feel like I’ve had experiences – I’m doing the therapy, I’ve put in a lot of work. My focus really has shifted a lot.”
The pair confirmed their relationship in July 2019, just following the release of their single Señorita one month prior.
However, the couple were rumoured to be romantically involved in 2015 after the release of their first single together, I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Now, Cabello seems to be living her best life and has since been pictured out with friends as well as recently releasing a new single with Ed Sheeran, Bam Bam.
