It's a common belief that couples should always sleep in the same beds - however, Carol McGiffin is turning this relationship rule on its head.
The Loose Women panelist, 62, has revealed that she and her husband, Mark Cassidy, 40, sometimes opt to sleep alone.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2018, will soon celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary and sleeping alone is one of the keys to their success.

"Sometimes I snore a lot. I snore and Mark takes up too much room, so occasionally we would sleep in separate beds," Carold told The Sun.
Carol also thinks lots of couples prefer sleeping alone but don't like to confess.
“And I think a lot of people do it if they've got the room, but they just don't like to admit it.”

The TV and radio presenter met her husband in 2008, when she was 48 and he was 26.
They had an intimate wedding ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand a decade after they started dating and are still going strong.
However the couple’s 22-year age gap has led to some people falsely thinking that they are mother and son.
“It doesn’t happen very often any more because Mark is 40 now so he’s getting on a bit - so he needs to be traded in,” she joked during the interview.

"My mother-in-law fits in to the South of France and La Colombe d'Or very well don't you think? @mariecassidy870," Carol captioned the photos Carol captioned a picture of Mark and Marie Cassidy, her mother-in-law.
The Instagram Carousel also included an adorable photo of Carol and Marie out for lunch together.

Meanwhile, in a photo shared in July last year, Carol and Mark returned to a restaurant in Saint-Paul-de-Vence they visited early on in their relationship.
The throwback vibes had Carol experiencing all the feels, writing: “The first time we ever went to La Colombe d’Or restaurant we sat at this table. We were both much younger then and our appetites were definitely more voracious but none of the enjoyment of being there has gone. We still LOVE LOVE LOVE it.”
How adorable!
