Dua Lipa fans are calling her Met Gala look the ‘ultimate pull of the night’, as she steps out to pay homage to the late Karl Lagerfeld.
Tonight, the Levitating singer was one of the first to appear on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art to take part in arguably the biggest night in fashion — The Met Gala.
For her take on the theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, Dua Lipa opted to wear a 1992 white tweed ball gown by Chanel, which was originally made famous by Lagerfeld's muse Claudia Schiffer in the 90s.
The star’s stunning white dress comes in Chanel's signature tweed fabric, and features a sculpting corset bodice, black trim, and luxurious fringing at the hem.

In a conversation with Variety, the Met Gala co-chair touched on why she opted to wear the stunning Chanel gown to the annual fashion fete.
She said: “This dress is also very, very special. It’s been on all my mood boards. It’s a 1992 Fall bride dress from Chanel, by Karl - obviously.
“And yes, it’s very, very special. The patrimony was very kind to lend it to me for tonight so yes, it’s very, very special.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, she also touched on the show-stopping jewellery she had decided to wear — referring to the diamond necklace as ‘this little thing’.
“It’s a Tiffany diamond,” she said.
“That I feel very lucky that I get to wear tonight. It’s very special, it hasn’t been seen before. So I feel very lucky that I get to showcase it tonight at the Met Gala.”
According to Harpers Bazaar, the Tiffany & Co. Diamond she’s wearing is the Lucida Star Necklace, reportedly worth more than a cool $10 million.

The piece, which is being paraded for the first time by Dua Lipa, is said to feature over 100 carats of cut white diamonds.
This sensational outing is actually only the second time that Due Lipa has attended the Met Gala.
Her first was way back in 2019 when she wore a technicolour Atelier Versace dress to comply with the ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’ theme.

Regarding her classic Chanel outfit choice, fans across social media have already been lauding Dua Lipa as ‘that girl’ and declaring that the other celebrities should ‘go home’.
One said: “[She is] constantly raising the standard for everyone else and putting these events on her back!”
Another agreed saying: “It’s so perfect. OMG, she knew she was going to serve!”

A fourth said that they agreed with the previous sentiments but wished that she had went all-out with her hairstyle. They wrote: “Really pretty but I don’t think this hairstyle suits her with this dress. It’s underwhelming.”
You can't win them all, huh?
