TOWIE star Ferne McCann's family has just grown by one as she's welcomed a baby girl with her fiancé Lorri Haines.

The mum announced the arrival of her newborn on Instagram yesterday (9 July), with a series of black-and-white clips of her bundle of joy wiggling around in a cot after she arrived on 6 July.

The announcement comes after McCann first told her loved ones she was expecting while filming an episode of her show First Time Mum.

Having welcomed her first child, named Sunday, five years earlier, McCann took her friends to the coast and handed them all pebbles which spelled out the phrase: "I am pregnant."

"I'm going to be a mum again," she told them afterwards. "It is really positive news, something to focus on and be happy about. After everything I've been through I feel like this couldn't have come at a better time.

"I feel like I've got something real to focus my energy on. My family is getting bigger and stronger and I can finally see the light."

The new baby girl is McCann's first with her fiancé, who she started dating in 2021 before the pair got engaged the following year.

Alongside her video of the newborn, McCann wrote: "It’s a girl. 06.07.23."

In a comment, Haines added: "Our baby girl. Prod [sic] of you."

McCann's mum Gilly wrote: "So so in love with our new baby girl."

The reality TV star didn't reveal her newborn's face, or announce what name she and Haines have chosen for their little one, but that of course didn't stop people gushing over her.

"Oh how lovely. congratulations!" one comment reads, while another says: "BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL. can’t wait to meet her."

McCann kept fans updated on her pregnancy journey after revealing on First Time Mum she had previously experienced a miscarriage.

"Very early on we had, we had a miscarriage. I was five weeks and I started bleeding. I was devastated," she said.

"I was really, really upset. I think Lorri found it really hard to comprehend."

After getting pregnant again, McCann admitted to OK! that she would 'love' to have another girl in the family.

“I would love a girl, just because I’ve got my girl’s name and I feel like a girl mum because I’ve got Sunday. I can only see myself with girls," she said.

Haines was a bit more hesitant on that idea, though, joking: “I don’t know if I can live in a house with four girls.”

The dad will have to get used to girls running his home, but I'm sure he doesn't mind really.
