Khloé Kardashian reveals why she will never let her kids have sleepovers

Khloé Kardashian shares two children - True and Tatum - with ex Tristan Thompson

Khloé Kardashian has revealed why she doesn’t allow her and Tristan Thompson’s kids, True and Tatum, to have sleepovers.

As a kid, there's nothing more exciting than going to a sleepover.

I mean, what's better than watching scary movies, stuffing yourself with sweets and staying up until the early hours of the morning chatting with your mates?

But, Khloé Kardashian's kids are forced to decline any slumber party invites they receive and the reality TV star has explained why.

Khloé is mum to two children - True, seven, and Tatum, two - whom she shares with her former partner Tristan Thompson.

Speaking on her Khloe in Wonderland podcast yesterday (17 April), the 40-year-old revealed that she never lets her kids stay the night away from home.

She said: "I don’t let my kids sleep anywhere. I’m very strict about it. Times are different, so I won’t let my daughter, or my son who's two-and-a-half. But they’re not allowed to have sleepovers just because I think too much. I watch too much Dateline."

The Good American founder didn't share whether this included overnight stays with family.

Khloé said she also struggles with the thought of True and Tatum leaving home one day.

During the podcast, the protective mum shared: "I don’t know if I’m going to like being an empty nester. I won’t. I’ll probably shave my head and go nuts or buy a ton of animals."

But, she hopes that living next door to her own mother, Kris Jenner, may lead her brood to normalise staying close to home.

"What I think I’m doing now is I’m sort of brainwashing my kids to think this is normal to live next to your mum," Khloé explained. "So then, when I’m old enough, they’re just gonna think, this is what you’re supposed to do."

The eldest of the Khloé's offspring, True, celebrated her seventh birthday last week (12 April).

As well as hosting a neon-themed birthday party and showering her daughter with lavish gifts, Khloé took to Instagram to gush about her daughter.

"My sweet girl, my first baby," she wrote in a post. "You are seven today. Seven years of loving you, of learning from you, of being transformed by you in ways I never imagined possible.

"You are the one who made me a mommy. The moment life opened up and showed me just how beautiful it could be. You gave me a reason to keep going, to rise above the hard days, to believe in light again. You don’t even realise it yet, but in my darkest moments, you were the brightest light I had."
