Khloé Kardashian has revealed why she lets her daughter, True, think she’s married to her ex, Tristan Thompson.
The 40-year-old reality TV star opened up about motherhood on Thursday's episode (5 March) of The Kardashians where she explained exactly why it was the 'right thing to do' for six-year-old True, who she welcomed with the 33-year-old professional basketball player back in 2018.
However, just days before True's birth, Khloé sadly found out that Tristan had allegedly been unfaithful to her and the pair eventually split up for good in June 2021 after she discovered he was expecting a baby with another woman that December.

Their split also took place a year before they welcomed their son, Tatum, to the world in 2022 via surrogate.
In the episode, the mum-of-two explained to her friend, Malika Haqq, that True 'thinks [her parents] are married' but that she won't correct her.
"It’s just probably better for her. It’s not like she would really understand," Malika comforted. "It’s okay."
"That’s what I wanna teach her," she explained, "Get married, have kids."

In a confessional, the Good American founder assured she'd tell True the situation when she was 'older', adding: "Right now, I believe you do things for your kids because kids should not be involved in adult problems."
With that said, however, Khloé did admit that it 'bothers' her for True and Tatum to look at her relationship with Tristan, who she dated on and off between 2016 to 2021, and think: "This is what a marriage is."
She shared her worry over her two children potentially growing up to believe: "Oh, you’re married to someone and they don’t live with you. And you never have to kiss them or you don’t sleep in the same bed together."

Despite being seemingly unlucky in love, it's clear Khloé is a true romantic at heart as she said she 'would love' her little ones to see her 'have a husband one day', adding: "I would love for them to see love and affection and romance.
"I do want them to have that."

Khloé recently opened up about why her divorce from Lamar Odum was harder than her split from Tristan.

The candid confession was made on her podcast Khloé In Wonderland.
Speaking to Jay Shetty, she shared: "With my first husband, I was younger and I think that was a lot harder for me.
"But what’s interesting was with each relationship where something bad has happened, I didn’t take it and was like, ‘Whoa is me. I’m this victim.'
"I took it more like, 'Okay, that’s another layer of armour that I’m putting on myself that I can get through anything else that happens in my life, but it’s also not going to harden me for my next relationship'."
