Jennifer Aniston claims that she ate the exact same meal nearly every single day during her time on Friends, but fans that have tried to recreate it have been getting it wrong.
The 54-year-old has starred in many hit films including Horrible Bosses, Along Came Polly, and Marley & Me, but most people will remember her as Rachel Green on Friends.
The show was just about the biggest show on television, and catapulted the six stars to both incredible wealth and international stardom.

By the end of it, Aniston, as well as Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Courtney Cox were all household names, with every element of their lives creating column inches.
That includes the minute details such as what they ate for lunch during days on set.
And when it comes to that, it seems as if Aniston very much found something she liked and just stuck with it.

It was Cox that started off this whole thing, giving an interview in which she explained how she, Aniston, and Kudrow would eat their lunch together each day during breaks in filming.
Apparently, Aniston’s favoured food was a ‘doctored up’ Cobb salad.
Traditionally, a Cobb salad has chopped greens, tomatoes, chicken, bacon, blue cheese, and vinaigrette on it, laid out in little lines.
Cox said that Aniston used to change bits about it, but largely work to that brief.

In an interview with the LA Times, Cox said: “It was a Cobb salad that Jennifer doctored up with turkey bacon and garbanzo beans and I don’t know what.”
She added: “She just has a way with food, which really helps.
“Because if you’re going to eat the same salad every day for 10 years, it’d better be a good salad, right?”
That’s certainly true.

In the years since Friends stopped filming, loads of people have had a go at making the same salad, but Aniston says that – whilst most of them look nice – they’re not quite the same as her go-to grub.
One TikTok recipe that went viral included bulgar, feta cheese, red onion, pistachios, and a whole can full of chickpeas.
However, in an interview with Elle magazine, Aniston said that she’d never stick that many chickpeas into it, because it’s ‘not good for the digestive tract’.

She said: “It looks like a delicious salad, but that’s not the one I had on Friends.”
The real salad – she said – contained shredded lettuce, egg whites, chicken, ‘a couple of garbanzo beans’, bacon, and a simple vinaigrette.
Also, she’d sometimes stick some Pecorino cheese onto it for good measure.
So, if you want to have the authentic Jennifer Aniston Friends salad, that’s the recipe you need to be sticking to.
