Jennifer Lawrence has revealed the name of her son, six months after welcoming her first child with husband Cooke Maroney.
Lawrence explained that her little boy’s name is inspired by one of her partner’s all-time favourite artists, and it certainly has a lovely ring to it.
What’s more, the fact Maroney is a New York-based art dealer means his tot’s moniker makes all the more sense.

Opening up in her interview with Vogue for the publication’s October 2022 cover story, Lawrence shared that her son is named Cy after Cy Twombly, who is one of Maroney’s favourite artists.
The Oscar-winning actor also said that ‘her whole life started over’ when she gave birth, calling Cy’s arrival into the world ‘her new day one’.
Lawrence, 32, explained: “I just stared. I was just so in love.” She added: “Newborns are just so amazing. They’re these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors. Now I love all babies. My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about.”

In true Lawrence style, the doting mum also joked that ahead of Cy’s birth, she worried she might not love him as much as she does her fluffy feline.
The star quipped: “I remember walking with one of my best friends at, like, nine months, and being like, ‘Everyone keeps saying that I will love my baby more than my cat. But that’s not true. Maybe I’ll love him as much as my cat?'”
The Hunger Games actor also candidly revealed in her interview that she’d actually fallen pregnant before giving birth to Cy, but suffered a miscarriage and had to have a D&C.

Lawrence also admitted she’ll likely make different movie choices now she’s a mum, telling the outlet: “I have had a pretty consistent theme in all my movies since I was 18. I’m curious if, now that I’m older and I have a baby, I’ll finally break out of that.”
When she was still pregnant with Cy, Lawrence made it clear she intends to protect his privacy at all costs, telling Vanity Fair in January: “Every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can.”
Lawrence and Maroney tied the knot in 2019 and famous guests at their wedding included Emma Stone, Cameron Diaz, Adele, Kris Jenner, Amy Schumer and Sienna Miller.
Despite their lavish Rhode Island ceremony, Lawrence and Maroney managed to keep the star-studded bash relatively under wraps and have since kept their romance and family life out of the public eye.
