Kim Kardashian brought everyone's worst nightmare to life when she showed up dressed in character to an event that absolutely was not a costume party.
To be fair to Kim, if you're invited to a party which falls on the same weekend as Halloween, you'd probably expect it to be a themed party full of attendees dressed up as various characters and horrifying sights.

The SKIMS founder went all out for Halloween this year, covering herself from head to toe in blue body paint as she took on the persona of X-Men's Raven Darkholme, aka Mystique.
The character, who has previously been played by Jennifer Lawrence, has slicked-back red hair and scales covering her blue skin. She also has the power to shapeshift, and has been featured in films such as X-Men, X2: X-Men United and X-Men: First Class.
Kim adopted everything from Mystique's hairstyle and scaley skin to her pale green eyes, and showed off her outfit in a series of posts on Instagram.
It was definitely an impressive effort, but unfortunately not all of the events Kim went to while in character actually required a costume.

In a post on her Instagram story, the model shared a snap of herself posing alongside Black-ish star Tracee Ellis Ross, who celebrated her 50th birthday on Saturday (29 October).
Ross held a birthday dinner to mark the milestone, for which she dressed elegantly in a shiny, red, off-the-shoulder outfit, with silver jewellery and her hair scraped back off her face.
Obviously this wasn't a costume party, but that didn't stop Kim.

The Kardashians star showed up to the party in her Mystique costume to snap the picture of herself and Ross, alongside which she wrote: "That time I showed up to a birthday dinner in full costume when it wasn’t a costume party! Happy birthday to the most beautiful kind soul Tracee Ellis Ross.”
It's unclear whether Kim knew she'd be the only one in costume when she went to the event, but she obviously didn't want to run away and hide afterwards as she proudly shared the moment online for all to see.
Thankfully, Kim did get to show off her outfit in a more suitable setting, as she also attended Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Halloween party on Sunday night.

Diddy was dressed up as The Joker from Batman for the event, with his impressive outfit consisting of the Joker's wide, red smile and long green hair.
