Ever since Kim Kardashian graced the Met Gala red carpet on Monday (6 May), people have been talking about her outfit non-stop.
If it wasn't *that* grey cardigan, fans also couldn't get over Kim's corset, which is said to have constricted her waist to an eye-watering 19 inches.
But there was another element to the outfit that you might have missed - and it could actually be the real reason why Kim 'struggled' to walk the red carpet.

In a video for Vogue, Kim could be seen prepping for the event a couple of days before.
She explained in the clip that she couldn't wear her usual high heels because the heel would get stuck in the metal skirt.
“It’s clever because if I had a shoe with a heel, the heel gets stuck in the metal skirt,” she explained.

“So that was our issue of walking.”
Instead, she opted for a type of heel which didn't have a heel at all (bear with us), which essentially means Kim was on her tip toes the whole time.
“So I’m going to have to put these on and to wear these, you’re on your tiptoes and you’re balancing the whole time, flexing your calf muscles," she explained, adding that she needed some 'height' in the dress.

“We gotta do what we gotta do,” she added.
“I can’t lean back and I’m on my toes from here on out.”
It could explain why some fans said that Kim looked like she was 'struggling' on the red carpet.
People were also pretty baffled about Kim's grey cardigan, with many wondering whether she'd had some sort of wardrobe malfunction prior to the Met Gala.
However, she did speak about the cardi when discussing her outfit inspiration.

Speaking to Vogue, Kim explained the inspiration behind the outfit was 'the wildest night of my life in a garden'.
"I just ran out and grabbed my boyfriend’s sweater and threw it on and had to get to work." she said. "And my hair is all messed up".
Following concerns about Kim's appearance, a surgeon has spoken out about the dangers of wearing such tight corsets, explaining that it can lead to a range of health problems.

Speaking to Tyla, Mr Reza Nassab, plastic surgeon and founder of CLNQ, emphasised the importance of seeking medical advice before pursuing anything 'drastic'.
He even said that organs can 'temporarily displace' while wearing the garment.
"Wearing corsets for extended periods can lead to a range of health issues, including restricted breathing, digestive problems, and even damage to internal organs," he said.
"Contrary to popular belief, organs do not shift permanently when wearing a corset. Instead, the soft tissues are temporarily displaced, and the organs are compressed to some degree.
"This compression can lead to discomfort, digestive issues, and, in extreme cases, may affect organ function."
Tyla has previously reached out to Kim's reps for comment.
