It's no secret that parents in the public eye are subject to more scrutiny than most - and reality TV star turned businesswoman Kim Kardashian is no exception.
Now the mum-of-four, 42, has been slammed by online commentators for allegedly putting her daughter, North, nine, in danger.

The accusations came about after Kim shared a picture of herself and North to Instagram yesterday (12 February) that she captioned with a simple skiing emoji.
This was the first in a series of images that showed Kim enjoying some winter fun with her children, Saint West, seven, Chicago West, five and Psalm West, three.
In the now-controversial snap, Kim could be seen wearing a warm black puffer jacket and skii goggles while North sported a metallic jacket, gloves, and goggles.
Needless to say, the pair were also wearing hats to keep warm in the chilly conditions.

However, it was the lack of a helmet on North's head that caused controversy among social media commentators, who said that she should have been wearing one.
One fan exclaimed: "put a helmet on northie !!!!!! [sic]"
A second agreed, adding: "You should wear helmets."
"Where is your helmet?" questioned a third, while a fourth wrote: "Kimmy… get north a helmet [sic]."

However, not everyone was so critical of the snowy montage.
Reacting to the snaps, Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, Kris Jenner, wrote: "Ski cuties!!!!!"
This is not the first time that Kim has been accused of putting North in danger and similar accusations were made as a result of a TikTok video last year.

The video featured North lip-synching to Ariana Grande's 'Santa Tell Me'.
While this was innocent enough, North was wearing a t-shirt that clearly revealed the name of her elementary school.
This video prompted one fan Instagram account to declare: "Probably not the smartest choice to post where your celebrity child goes to school. Smh."

A second commentator noted that the school's name had already been revealed by Kanye West prior to the TikTok.
"[Kim] knew it was a stupid thing for [Kanye] to do, hence the extra security, yet she'll keep posting it?" questioned another social media user.
"So now you have two airheads instead of one."
Kanye revealed the name in an Instagram rant where he argued that his daughter, who turns 10 this year, should attend his school instead.
He wrote: "My kids going to Donda. They not going to [name redacted].
"I was driven crazy before. I'm not going crazy no more.
"It's not up to Calabasas or Hulu where my kids go to school. I’m not the crazy one here."
