The 35-year-old explained how doctors fought to save baby Lorena’s life and the heartbroken mum shared that her partner, Charles Drury, pleaded with staff to save their baby’s life.
Lauren explained she had no complications during her pregnancy and had planned to give birth at home. When it was time to give birth she was instead taken to a delivery suite via an ambulance on 8 July.
“The baby’s head was coming out when I arrived at the hospital, I was in agony," Lauren explained in an interview with The Sun.

"I was taken into a private room and when the baby was being born the room started to fill with doctors. They said she had a low heart rate and took her to the side.
"Ten doctors started working on her. They were doing chest compressions and giving her adrenaline."
Lauren went on to explain that her partner Charles – with whom she shares her one-year-old daughter Larose – was ‘in pieces’.

After being told the news that no parent wants to hear, Lauren described sitting in her ‘bloodied sheets’ while being unable to move from the shock. "It was awful,” she said. “I sat in my bloodied sheets for four hours. They asked me if I wanted to shower and I said yes, but I just couldn’t move. I just sat there in shock.”
Lauren is now awaiting the results from her daughter’s autopsy to understand why she passed away.
In a statement shared two days after Lorena’s death, Lauren – who also lost her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean in a motorbike crash earlier in July – said she was ‘broken’.
Sharing a black and white photo of her holding Lorena’s hand, she wrote: “She was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister @babylarose.x … words can’t describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth too for my angel to be taken from me.”

She continued: “She was fine & healthy but I am not going into detail right now just know that there was nothing wrong with her or myself she was perfect I can’t understand it she is so so beautiful Larose twin so similar.
“I am broken."
