Lizzo has broken her silence after Kanye West made comments about her body last week.
The 34-year-old spoke out about the remarks made by Kanye, 45, during her concert at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Friday 7 October.
It came after comments made by Kanye in a conversation with Fox news host Tucker Carlson, in light of Ye's White Lives Matter t-shirt shown during Paris Fashion Week. You can watch the clip below:
In the interview, Kanye spoke about what he described as the 'demonic' promotion of obesity, specifically mentioning Lizzo and how she was 'attacked' for posting about losing weight.

“When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots … on Instagram, they attack her losing weight, because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy,” he said.
"It's actually clinically unhealthy, and for people to promote that, it's demonic."
Seemingly responding to Ye's comments - but not mentioning the rapper by name - Lizzo spoke out about people discussing her business at her Toronto concert.
“I feel like everybody in America got my motherf**king name in [their] motherf**king mouth for no motherf**king reason,” she told concertgoers.

"Can I stay here [in Canada]?" She added, joking: "Who can I marry for that dual citizenship?"
Lizzo - who is known for promoting 'body confidence' more than she is for her music career - has had to respond to comments about her weight before.
Earlier this year in August, Lizzo hit back at comedian Aries Spears during the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony.

Aries had made comments about her during an interview with The Art of Dialogue.
“I can’t get past the fact that she looks like the s**t emoji,” he said.
Seemingly referencing the comment, during her acceptance speech for the Video for Good award for her hit ‘About Damn Time', Lizzo said: “And now, to the b***hes that got something to say about me in the press.”
She continued: “You know what, I’m not gonna say nothing.”

During the chat with Tucker Carlson, Kanye also ex-wife Kim Kardashian for the advertising of her SKIMS shapewear line.
"I had a lot of issues with the imagery of SKIMS," he said.
"I felt like there’s a lot of imagery that was overly sexualized and things I wouldn’t want to see my wife — and definitely not my daughters — doing in the future in order to sell products.

"But it reaches another level when it’s like, 'OK, this is what my wife is doing, this is what she’s doing for our children.'"
