So, as if drinking each others' blood wasn't enough, Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox have just revealed another dark twist to their engagement.
We all swooned when we first saw the beautiful diamond and emerald ring that Machine Gun Kelly (AKA Colson Baker) designed with jeweller Stephen Webster - but it suddenly started to look less appealing when he explained how it works.
Watch MGK's proposal here:
It turns out, the stunning engagement ring that MGK presented to his new fiancée is designed specifically to "hurt" her if she ever tries to take it off.
Yikes.
Speaking in an interview with Vogue, Colson Baker went into detail on the design.
He said: "The concept is that the ring can come apart to make two rings. When it’s together, it’s held in place by a magnet.
"So you see how it snaps together? And then it forms an obscure heart. And you see this right here? The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts…"
He added: "Love is pain!"
We get the general poetic concept, but we're not sure it's the most romantic gesture - and fans seem to agree.
Learning about MGK's Saw-inspired ring design, one person tweeted: "Can we move on from celebrity couples they're all insane like why does Megan Fox's engagement ring have THORNS in it."
Another wrote: "Uhhh why the f**k are people romanticising Megan fox’s engagement ring having thorns so it’s painful for her to take off??? That’s really not ok??? Is nobody else wondering what the f**k???"
"Someone help #meganfox RN. MGK really had the audacity to put THORNS in her engagement ring, so it HURTS when she tries to take it off. THAT'S A HUGE RED FLAG. SOMEONE HELP HER." commented a third.
One concerned fan wrote: "Soo Megan Fox's engagement ring is designed to hurt if she tries to take it off?? Like that's not normal right??"
Megan and Colson announced their engagement last week, sharing a video of the fairytale proposal.
Telling fans the news, Megan wrote: "Having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him.
"And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes... and then we drank each other's blood."
Blood drinking aside, we're thrilled for the couple, and truly can't wait to see what their version of a wedding ceremony will look like.
We just hope Megan doesn't plan on cleaning, swimming, cooking, or showering any time soon, because that ring is not coming off.
