Matthew McConaughey’s sons are all grown up and look exactly like him in rare picture

Matthew McConaughey is a pretty familiar face, given that he's a Hollywood film star, but a rare Instagram picture of his sons has proved he's not necessarily one of a kind.

The How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days star is dad to three kids he shares with his wife, Camila Alves, who he married in 2012.

Their eldest, Levi, is now 14 years old and a big brother to sister Vida, and the youngest of the children, Livingston, but McConaughey doesn't tend to share snaps of his kids on Instagram.

Alves only drops an insight to their family life every now and again, so it's no surprise that fans were delighted to see a snap of not only the couple's sons, but of McConaughey hanging alongside them in a post shared by Alves on Instagram this week.

McConaughey, 53, could be seen in the picture carefully cutting the hair of someone who can only be described as a smaller version of himself.

Another, slightly older lookalike looked on with fascination, with the only presence in the photo who didn't look just like the movie star being the family's black dog, who also made its way on to the scene to see what was going on.

As easy as it would be to believe otherwise, the mini-me's featured in the image aren't clones of McConaughey, and are actually Levi and Livingston.

It was Livingston who was getting his long locks cut by his dad, with Alves accompanying the post with the caption: "Then this happened..."

The post has racked up thousands of likes in just one day, with fans responding to the post to compliment McConaughey and Alves on their two boys.

Many couldn't get over the resemblance the boys share with their dad, as one wrote: "Omg he is his mini me."

Another fan commented: "OMG Levi looks so much like his Dad! He’s Matthew reborn with a nice tan!"

While a third wrote: "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree... the jawline of his oldest son is just like his fathers..they get the naturally curly hair which if someone doesn't know how to cut hair can be daunting to them.. beautiful kids."

A number of fans also noted how 'grown up' the boys look, with Livingston having celebrated his 10th birthday just before the new year.

Daughter Vida also celebrated her 13th birthday around the same time.
